SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Transit Authority kicked off the first week of its Bus Scavenger Hunt on Monday, giving Utahns the chance to win VIP Twilight Concert tickets. The UTA scavenger hunt promotes public transit during the state’s Clear the Air challenge.
Every week in July, the UTA’s Instagram page will release clues pointing to QR codes at different locations.
The first UTA Bus Scavenger Hunt clue dropped on Monday. It read:
Where pioneers settled, their stories unfold,
A transportation hub, where paths converge bold.
Search within the station, where journeys embark,
The next clue lies, amidst the bustling mark.
Hunters will ride a different route each week to find the codes. Each code will reveal a keyword.
The UTA said the first five people each week to DM them the keywords and a picture of the final blue bus will receive a gift card for its merch.
All participants who send in the correct keywords during the hunt are entered into a drawing for two VIP tickets to a Salt Lake City or Ogden Twilight concert.
The UTA said it hopes all hunters will join the Clear the Air Challenge as they search. The challenge aims to improve air quality by getting people to travel wiser.
Public transit, fewer trips and carpooling are just some of the strategies the challenge encourages Utahns to use.
