Motorcyclist in serious condition after a crash in Weber County

ROY, Utah — A motorcyclist is recovering after they collided with a van in Weber County around six this morning.
Stuart Hackworth with the Roy City Police Department said the crash was at the intersection of 5600 South 3500 West in Roy. He said the van was heading westbound when it made a left turn in front of the motorcyclist driving eastbound. Hackworth said the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet and was conscious and alert when officers arrived. Medical staff transported the rider to the hospital in serious condition.
Hackworth said there were two people in the van. One of them was a young man who had minor injuries after the crash.
