Pedestrian struck and killed after entering southbound I-15

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Highway Patrol says a pedestrian was struck and killed early Sunday morning after entering I-15 southbound.

Cpl. Quincy Breuer, with the UHP, says the incident occurred in the area of 3800 South at 12:38 a.m.

The pedestrian was struck by a passing vehicle and died from the injuries sustained. The victim is an adult male.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured. The investigation is ongoing.
