SALT LAKE CITY — After her arrest and being charged with six counts of aggravated child abuse, Jodi Hildebrandt has surrendered her professional license to the Utah Division of Professional Licensing.
According to the Utah Department of Commerce, the forfeiture will ensure that Hildebrandt cannot practice as a mental health counselor upon her release from jail.
“Given the heinous abuse allegations,” said Margaret Busse, Executive Director of the Utah Department of Commerce, “the agency felt that the surrender of the license was the best course of action to protect the safety of Hildebrandt’s patients and clients.”
Hildebrandt, and her business partner Ruby Franke, were arrested on August 30, after a 911 caller reported a young boy had come to the caller’s home asking him to call the police. The child was later identified as Ruby Franke’s 12-year-old son.
Hildebrandt owns a counseling business called ConneXions.
