One person killed in auto-pedestrian crash in Murray

Murray City Police Department said that just before 10 p.m. Friday night, a pedestrian was crossing the street on 900 E. near 6300 S. when they were hit by a vehicle driving northbound. Police said witnesses recalled the vehicle that fled as a Nissan Frontier with a roof rack and a broken headlight on the passenger side. Police are not releasing any information on the person who was hit at this time. They are asking anyone with information on the driver to contact the Murray City Police Department at 801-840-4000. MURRAY, Utah — Police are looking for the driver who hit and killed a pedestrian before fleeing the scene.
Murray City Police Department said that just before 10 p.m. Friday night, a pedestrian was crossing 900 E. near 6300 S. when they were hit by a vehicle driving northbound. Police said witnesses recalled the vehicle that fled as a Nissan Frontier with a roof rack and a broken headlight on the passenger side.
Police are not releasing any information on the person who was hit at this time.
They ask anyone with information on the driver to contact the Murray City Police Department at 801-840-4000.
In an updated press release MPD released photos of the vehicle involved in the accident, asking the community for help in identifying it.
The vehicle is described as a white, newer model, Nissan Frontier Truck with a roof rack. There may be front-end damage sustained from the incident.
