PRICE, Utah — One person is dead following an accident between a train and a car Sunday afternoon.
The Carbon County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) said a car drove into a train at approximately 4:10 p.m. This caused the driver, and sole occupant, to be ejected from their vehicle, ultimately killing them. No other injuries were reported.
The circumstances contributing to the accident are unclear at this time.
Information about the victim is not available at this time, as authorities are still working on notifying the next of kin.
The train is currently blocking a small county road to some residential areas, according to CCSO.
The investigation is ongoing.
