SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Rep. Phil Lyman, R-Blanding, says he’s going to run for governor in 2024.
Lyman represents House District 69 in the Utah Legislature and is a former San Juan County commissioner.
Some may recognize him for leading a protest in 2014 against the Bureau of Land Management. He was found guilty of misdemeanor trespassing and spent 10 days in jail. According to a press release, Lyman was the only state legislator ever elected in Utah who was assigned a parole officer at the time of his election.
