Fatal accident on Highway 13 kills one

TREMONTON, Utah — One person is dead following a fatal accident on Highway 13 in Tremonton Saturday night.
According to Quincy Breuer with the Utah Highway Patrol, at approximately 7 p.m. a car was traveling southbound on Highway 13 when a deer ran out into the roadway.
The driver was unable to avoid hitting the deer. Upon being hit, the deer was “thrown into the air” and into the northbound lane, according to Breuer. The deer then crashed through the windshield of a different car that was heading north.
The deer caused fatal injuries to the 88-year-old driver of the northbound car.
