North Ogden Police are investigating an attempted kidnapping that took place Thursday afternoon. Police say the suspect grabbed the young girl by the arm and said he would help her find her family. The girl was able to get away by kicking the suspect in the leg. Kristin Murphy, Deseret News

OGDEN, Utah — Two people are recovering from serious injuries after a shooting in Ogden late Friday night.

Lt. William Farr with the Ogden Police Department said officers responded to reports of gunshots around 11:30 at 500 27th St.

When police arrived, they found an adult man and a juvenile man with serious, but non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Both were given first aid and taken to nearby hospitals.

Farr said they don’t believe there is any ongoing threat to the public.
