Business Insider lists Provo among top cities to watch in 2024

SALT LAKE CITY — Provo is on a list of top cities to watch in 2024.
According to the list published by Business Insider, there are multiple reasons the city was added to the list.
Some of these reasons include beautiful mountain views, availability of outdoor recreation, a bustling job market and relatively affordable housing.
According to a Provo resident, who would not give their name to KSL NewsRadio, Provo is also quiet, clean and the city is a place where people feel safe to live.
Business Insider also lists easy access to Silicon Slopes and downtown Salt Lake as a plus for the city.
In 2022, Provo had a population of 113,523. According to Business Insider, the city is home to an increasing amount of young families who are attracted to the Provo area because of its small-town feel.
The median sales price for Provo homes hovers around $450,000, according to Redfin, which is just slightly above the national average.
As for the crime rate in Provo, Neighborhood Scout’s total crime index says Provo is safer than 33% of U.S. neighborhoods.
