LEHI, Utah — The Lehi Primary Children’s Hospital will begin serving patients on Feb. 12, 2024, according to Intermountain Health.
According to a press release, the new location will address the needs of the growing pediatric population in Utah County. It is the first children’s medical center in the county.
The Lehi hospital will offer nearly all of the same patient services as the Salt Lake City hospital.
The original Primary Children’s Hospital is on the University of Utah’s medical campus.
“The opening of the new children’s hospital is a milestone in both the centennial celebration of Primary Children’s Hospital and Intermountain Health’s Primary Promise to create the nation’s model health system for children,” said Jennifer Toomer-Cook, an IHC spokesperson, in a press release.
The 38-acre campus includes a 66-bed hospital, a medical office building, and an outpatient center.
It will also offer the state’s first walk-in pediatric behavioral health crisis center.
“We are thrilled to open a new Primary Children’s Hospital to serve Utah’s fastest-growing communities and address the growing, complex health needs of children,” said Lisa Paletta, the president of the new Lehi Primary Children’s Hospital.
Public tours
The public is invited to tour the Lehi Primary Children’s facilities on Feb. 3, 2024.
“We invite the public to join us in celebrating this exciting milestone for children’s health,” said Paletta. The hospital has encouraged interested visitors to register for a tour before February 3. They can do so by visiting Primary Promise’s website.
