SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Lt. Gov. Deidre Henderson and First Lady Abby Cox, among other Utah leaders, announced Thursday that they would endorse Republican Nikki Haley for the 2024 presidential election.
Standing alongside the lieutenant governor and first lady on Thursday were Republican lawmakers State Sen. Mike Mckell and Rep. Casey Snider.
This endorsement comes just days ahead of the Iowa caucuses.
Henderson said they hope to build momentum in support of Haley.
“This is a race for her. She is proving that she is the type of leader that Republicans want. That America wants,” Henderson said.
When asked, Cox said her husband, Gov. Spencer Cox, is not endorsing Haley at this time.
