SALT LAKE CITY — Utah is taking part in Super Tuesday with caucuses across the state. Republicans will be meeting at hundreds of locations.
The Republican Party in Utah has spent over $100,000 in advertising tonight’s caucus. According to GOP Chair Robert Axson, the money is worth it to bring people out to debate and vote.
According to Axson, Super Tuesday is all about dialogue.
“The Caucus meeting is only there to facilitate the conversations that come from all of our citizens and the opinions that come from all of our Republican citizens here in Utah,” Axson said.
However, it’s not just the opportunity to debate. Everyone who goes tonight will take part in a “presidential preference poll.”
Republicans can choose between former President Trump and Nikki Haley and national delegates will use that to inform their decisions at the upcoming convention.
