Nordic Valley may close soon, other Utah ski resorts extend season

EDEN, Utah — Nordic Valley Ski Resort has ceased weekday operations, while three other Utah ski resorts have announced they’ll extend their seasons.
According to Nordic Valley’s website, the resort will be open Friday through Sunday while conditions permit. Conditions will be assessed daily. Night skiing at Nordic Valley ended on March 16.
With a base sitting at only 5,365 feet in elevation, Nordic Valley is the lowest ski resort in Utah.
Three Utah ski resorts announce extensions
Elsewhere, better snow conditions have inspired extended seassons.
This week, Deer Valley moved its final day of winter operations from April 14 to April 21.
KSL.com reported that the season extension announcement is only the second in Deer Valley’s history.
Park City Mountain also announced that it will extend its winter operations through April 22.
PCMR has been celebrating its 60th anniversary this season. A press release said the festivities will last until the resort’s final day of operation.
“We will be sending off the 60th with an additional week on the mountain plus a bonus day of skiing and riding for our Park City locals, Epic Pass holders, and visitors to our historic mountain town,” said Deirdra Walsh, the vice president and chief operating officer of Park City Mountain.
Brian Head announced that it will remain open until May 5.
