BOISE, Idaho — Prosecutors brought in a lot of witnesses for testimony Tuesday in the Chad Daybell trial, showing how he reacted after Tammy Daybell’s death. First was an expert, the former Utah Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Erik Christensen, who did the autopsy of the body of Tammy Daybell in 2020.
He testified that Tammy died of asphyxiation from strangulation.
Then, two former neighbors of Chad and Tammy both talked about how they were surprised by how Chad wasn’t crying when they visited the day Tammy died.
And they said Chad brought his new girlfriend, Lori Vallow, over to meet them seven days after Tammy died.

“They were very affectionate with each other, more than I had ever seen Chad (be),” one of the former neighbors said. “He was very affectionate with her and they were giggling and laughing … My husband and I were embarrassed.”
The neighbors say they asked Lori if she had any children when they met her and there was never any mention of JJ and Tylee.
Chad is charged with killing Tammy, JJ and Tylee.
