Crane driver killed in work accident

SALT LAKE CITY — A man was killed while driving a crane at a worksite located in the Summit County area Saturday morning.

A call came into the Summit County Sheriff’s Office at 8:15 a.m. about an adult male who was driving a crane, when it rolled over an embankment and crashed.

According to Summit County Sheriff Sgt. Sotelo, the man had died from his injuries by the time fire personnel arrived.

Currently, Sotelo said there are multiple law enforcement and fire department still at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.
