SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Pride Center is adding a “Rainbow Alley” to this year’s Pride Festival.
For the first time, pride groups from around Utah will set up along an area known as Rainbow Alley.

Those groups will be allowed to advertise their events free of charge to help people find resources in their area.
“I hope that people can come and see that there are pride celebrations happening all over Utah,” Utah Pride Center Executive Director, Chad Call said. “It’s just as important to go support them.”
In addition to finding resources in their area, people can also find opportunities to celebrate pride throughout the summer.
Call said unifying all the pride groups around that state strengthens the community.
He wants those other groups’ events to be just as visible and well-attended as the Utah Pride Center’s.
“[We want to] show Utah that there is a huge demographic of people that truly do support, you know, in line with our mission. Support, celebrate and unify,” Call said.
Call said people who want to visit Rainbow Alley can go to the alley’s location on the South side of the festival on Sunday.
