HERRIMAN, Utah — Police have arrested an additional person in connection to a stabbing that killed a 16-year-old on Wednesday.
According to a probable cause statement, the Herriman Police Department arrested 18-year-old Hunter John Armstrong.
Police said Armstrong and the 16-year-old victim were recruited to help “Keith,” one of the suspects, attack a 17-year-old, E.D.
Nineteen-year-old Keith McClendon was arrested earlier this week in connection with the stabbing.
Police said Armstrong, Keith and the 16-year-old can be seen on video in the area of the stabbing.
According to witnesses, Armstrong stood in front of E.D.’s car. This made it impossible for him to flee the scene before the assault and allowed Keith and the 16-year-old to attack E.D.
Following the attack, police said, E.D. sustained several injuries including a separated shoulder.
Despite Armstrong not being involved in the actual physical attack, police say his actions were “severe” as the attack led to the death of the 16-year-old.
