Man critically injured after hit-and-run

SALT LAKE CITY — A man was critically injured early Saturday around 3:21 a.m. after being struck by a car, whose driver reportedly failed to stop after hitting him.
The man was struck by the car in the Glendale neighborhood near 1040 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City Police Department said in a press release
Police said when they arrived at the scene, they found the man who was hit with critical injuries. After being accessed, he was taken to the hospital.
The man did not appear to be in a crosswalk when he was struck by a car going north on Redwood Road. Police said the driver of that car did not stop after hitting the man.
Police said they do not have any description of the driver or the car. Anyone with information related to the car or driver is asked to call 801-799-3000.
SLCPD stated in the press release that callers can report anonymously through City Protect, an anonymous tipline.
