SALT LAKE CITY — Planning to vote by mail in tomorrow’s primary election? Today is the deadline to drop off mail-in ballots.
According to vote.Utah.gov, mail-in ballots were sent by county clerks between June 4 and June 18 for this election. They were sent to all active registered voters.
What if I miss the deadline for mail-in ballots?
If you don’t make it to a USPS ballot drop-box today, there are still a few ways to get your vote counted. Firstly, you can drop off your ballot at your county clerk’s office, any polling location, or in a drop-box tomorrow.
It should be noted that the cut-off for ballot drop-offs is tomorrow at 8 p.m., per vote.Utah.gov.
Additionally, in-person voting will be available tomorrow. Information on where you can vote in your city or county be found on the state’s vote search website.
Salt Lake County’s website said that voting centers will be open between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Additionally, the website allows users to track mail-in ballots. The feature allows voters to ensure their ballots are delivered to their local election officials.
When will we know the results?
Beginning at 8 p.m. on June 25, which is election day, preliminary results will be posted. On each following weekday, updates will be made at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Counties will continue to count ballots for up to two weeks after election day.
