SALT LAKE CITY — Expect big traffic delays near Hill Air Force Base during this weekend’s Warriors Over The Wasatch air show at Hill Air Force Base.
The base will be open to the public through the north and west gates starting at 7:30 a.m.

There will also be parking available at the Clearfield FrontRunner stop, Northridge High School and Weber State’s Davis campus.
With half a million expected over the weekend and a major construction project near one of the main gates, Micah Garbarino with Hill Air Force Base’s Public Affairs said people should expect delays.
What’s the best way to get to the Warriors Over The Wasatch show?
Ahead of the expected traffic, the Utah Department of Transportation has teamed up with the base to try and make travel as smooth as possible.
According to Garbarino, the best way to get to the base is to take the FrontRunner to Clearfield. From there, there’s a free bus that will bring you on base.
“There’s ways to make your life a little bit easier and we say the number one way to do that is try and use public transportation,” Garbarino said.
Garbarino recommended that attendees get there early and plan for delays.
“We just ask people to pack their patience, have some understanding and just be prepared for large crowds and what comes with that. But it’s also a lot of fun.”
