Triple digit heat wave forecast for the Wasatch Front

SALT LAKE CITY— Utah is in for another major heat wave this week. Much of the Wasatch Front could see temperatures at or near 100 degrees for six straight days starting Tuesday.
As of Monday morning, KSL Meteorologist Matt Johnson forecast a high of 94 degrees in Salt Lake City Monday, followed by the following forecast highs:
- Tuesday: 100
- Wednesday: 103
- Thursday: 105
- Friday: 105
- Saturday: 105
- Sunday: 101
Johnson said the chance of hitting a record 107 degrees Thursday through Saturday, “is not off the table.”
The National Weather Service has also issued an excessive heat watch from Wednesday morning through midnight Saturday.
St. George is expected to be even more brutal, with highs expected to hit or exceed 110 degrees Monday through Friday, with a forecast high of 115 on Thursday.
