MURRAY, Utah — Two pedestrians died early Saturday in a crash. They were struck by two different vehicles after they stepped out of their car.
According to a Department of Public Safety press release, Utah Highway Patrol was called out to a crash at about 900 West on Interstate 215 at 3:54 a.m.
DPS said a female had “entered the right travel lane” after exiting a dark SUV that had pulled over to the shoulder of the interstate. The female was reported to have then been hit by a silver Kia Spectra.
After the female was struck by the car, the driver of the dark SUV exited the vehicle to help the woman. That’s when he was struck by a dark Volkswagen Tiguan, according to the press release.
DPS stated that the female had died at the scene and the male died later at a local hospital after being transported.
