LOGAN, Utah — Officials from Utah State University said they have received an official response from football coach Blake Anderson. It’s been two weeks since Anderson learned the school was firing him.
The written response from Anderson is reportedly 70 pages long.

It came in the late hours of July 15, which was the last day for Anderson to respond within a two-week window.
Utah State placed Anderson on leave on July 2, when he was also notified of his termination. The school’s actions were in relation to actions Anderson took in spring 2023.
USU officials claimed they decided to fire Anderson after an external review of alleged noncompliance with university policies that implement Title IX.
The specific policy was in reference to actions employees are supposed to take after a disclosure of sexual misconduct.
Utah State officials said they are reviewing Anderson’s response. They will announce their final decision on their website when it is available.
Anderson’s Lawyer said in a statement on social media that since Anderson is still a USU employee, they will remain silent until the school’s decision is known.
