MILWAUKEE — Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley offered strong support for Donald Trump in her speech Tuesday night at the Republican National Convention.
KSL at Night co-host Adam Gardiner joined us live from Milwaukee to share updates on day four of the RNC.
“Donald Trump has my strong endorsement, period,” she said.
She said former President Trump asked her to speak at the convention in the name of unity, and she was “happy to accept.”
Haley was Trump’s former rival in the Republican race for the presidency. She dropped out of the race in March 2024, right after Super Tuesday.
Before that, Haley did become the first Republican woman to win two primary contests, in Vermont and the District of Columbia.
“You don’t have to agree with Trump 100% of the time to vote for him,” she said in her R.N.C. speech. “Take it from me, I haven’t always agreed with [former] President Trump. But we agree more often than we disagree.”
