Festivals and fairs taking place in Utah this weekend

SALT LAKE CITY — It’s the season of festivals and fairs, so there is no shortage of things to do in Utah this weekend.
There is the SLC Showcase Arts Festival (a 21+ event), the Utah Fungi Festival, and the Peach Days Festival.
It’s also time for Salt Lake’s 48th Annual Greek Festival.
George Karahalios with the Greek Orthodox Church calls it a three-day party complete with food, cultural activities, and entertainment.
“I just recommend everybody to come down and be Greek for a weekend,” he said.
Karahalios expects a lot of people to attend. In addition to the festival, the church is celebrating 100 years in Salt Lake.
“Last year we were about 40,000 [attendees]. We’re probably going to expect that at least and maybe more because of the 100-year anniversary. We’ve got a lot of people coming in from out of town for that,” he said.
There is also the State Fair which goes through Sept. 15, with concerts happening on select days. Additionally, Oktoberfest in Snowbird takes place on weekends through Oct. 13.
