SALT LAKE CITY — This Saturday, the Salt Lake City Downtown Library Plaza will host the 8th annual SLC VegFest.
The SLC VegFest promotes animal rights and vegan food. Put on by the Utah Animal Rights Coalition, the festival is free to enter and features food, a beer garden, live music, and interactive art.
“SLC VegFest is a family-friendly event where attendees will learn how they can save up to a hundred animal lives each year, significantly reduce their environmental impact and water usage, and improve their overall health by simply leaving animal products off their plates,” says festival Co-Director Rich Hawkes.
The festival also features a kid’s area and more than thirty vendors and booths.
In addition, animal activists will be at the festival to add their voices to “Support our Sanctuaries,” the sanctuary’s 2024 call to action. They will highlight the work done by local animal sanctuaries to provide homes for animals.
