GRANTSVILLE, Utah — If you’re in Grantsville City, you may have noticed those large yellow signs that read “Grantsville City Public Notice.” At the bottom center of the sign is a QR code, and attached to it is a flyer box.
The signs are a requirement from the Planning Commission and City Council, according to Grantsville City’s Facebook post. The city posts the signs to alert the community about public hearings addressing proposals for large community development projects.
Whenever there is a proposal planned for a specific property, the city will post the sign every 100 yards along the road(s) near the property. The sign will be up 10 days before the public hearing and removed once the hearing is complete.
The QR code on the sign will take you to the “Land Use Applications” page on the Grantsville City website. Here you can learn more about what projects are active.
The flyer boxes attached to the signs contain papers with directions to the location of the active project.
