Pedestrian dies after crash in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY — A pedestrian died this afternoon following a car accident on 700 East near Liberty Park.
The Salt Lake City Police Department says at around 11:48 a.m. Wednesday, they received a call about a crash at 743 South 700 East.
Police say a driver was traveling north on 700 East and when they lost control and hit a parked car. The impact pushed the parked car into a woman who was walking on the sidewalk.
Paramedics say the woman died on the scene.
SLCPD says driver of the car is cooperating with the investigation.
