Blue powder cannons vandalizes Snow Canyon State Park

IVINS, Utah — Snow Canyon State Park’s red Petrified Dunes turned blue from powder cannons, according to an Instagram post from Snow Canyon.

According to the post, the Petrified Dunes were dyed blue, caused by what is believed to be powder cannons.

According to the post, the cleanup took park rangers nearly four and a half hours to clean and required hauling more than 24 gallons of water to the vandalized spot.

The State Park reminded visitors to clean up after themselves when doing photoshoots or having events in the canyon.

“Help us keep the park clean and beautiful for you and future generations,” the post said.
