Matt Labrum – Union High School

Although I am not a resident of Utah nor a citizen of the USA I hope I would hope I can nominate an exceptional educator.

I have read of the football coach at the above institution enacting a truly unique policy.

In order to address class cutting, disrespect of teachers and other issues he asked that all the team’s football players turn in their Jerseys.

He then undertook a series of events designed to instill character, team building and responsibility.
This person is truly an “educator” moving beyond a simple game to help his students comprehend and probably win, at the game of life.

As a fellow educator I cannot but help admire the dedication and caring of this person.
