Eight churches in southern Utah vandalized overnight

ST. GEORGE, Utah — The Hurricane and St. George Police Departments have confirmed that eight locations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were vandalized overnight.
Tiffany Mitchell with St. George Police said that between 12:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m., windows of six churches in St. George were broken.
Mitchell said that the vandals were driving a light-colored Honda passenger car.
Hurricane Police Department spokesman Dan Raddatz said that two churches in Hurricane had their windows broken.
The vandalism was discovered, Raddatz said, when police heard about the broken windows in St. George. They began a patrol of their churches, and said that between 2:00 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. they found two instances of vandalism. At one church, one window was broken and at another church, two windows were broken.
No interior damage was reported.
