SALT LAKE CITY — The FBI is seeking the public’s assistance in its investigation of a serial bank robber.

The FBI says the suspect is wanted for questioning in connection to a pair of recent robberies in Salt Lake City.

The first occurred on Aug. 30 at the American First Credit Union located at 3499 S. State Street. Authorities say the suspect presented a teller with a note and left on foot.

The FBI say the suspect was dressed nearly all in dark clothing, wearing black pants, a black beanie, a black hoodie and a black facemask. Additionally, he was carrying a red and white backpack.

The second robbery occurred on Sept. 27 at Chase Bank located at 1285 E. 3900 South. In this incident, authorities say he presented a note to the teller, pointed a gun at the teller, and left on foot.

Authorities also say in the second robbery the suspect was dressed nearly the same. They say he wore a black hoodie with a Nike logo on it. He also wore a black beanie, black pants and a black facemask.

Serial bank robber suspected in another incident

In addition, the FBI says the same suspect is also wanted for questioning in connection to a robbery of a credit union customer in Clearfield on Sept. 9. In this incident, authorities say the suspect followed the individual out of the credit union and pistol-whipped him. The suspect then took the money that the victim had just withdrawn.

The FBI says the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.

The Clearfield, South Salt Lake and Unified police departments are part of this joint investigation.

If you have information, you are asked to contact the Salt Lake City Field Office of the FBI at 801-579-1400.
