Morning storms impact school schedules

SALT LAKE CITY– Severe weather conditions forcing schools to to adjust schedules Friday morning.

Canyons School District announced a remote learning day for Friday due to dangerous road conditions. Summit Academy schools are also on a remote schedule.

Salt Lake City, Alpine, Granite, Davis, Murray, Cache and Provo School District announced they will run on a two-hour delay.

Some private and charter schools are also delaying their start times such as Ascent Academy’s West Valley, Farmington, West Jordan and Saratoga Springs campuses.

However, Tooele and Jordan Schools classes will start on time.

Due to dangerous, and worsening, road conditions from this morning’s winter storm, all Canyons District schools are pivoting to remote learning today (Friday, Dec. 2). While schools are closed for the day, the day is set aside for at-home learning.
