Arches visit will require reservation April 1 through October 31, 2023

MOAB, Utah — A timed entry reservation system begins on April 1 at Arches National Park in Moab. And it will continue through October 31, 2023.

On the Arches website, officials from the national park said that reservations will be required to enter every day between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

That’s important to note because if you arrive at Arches before 7 a.m. or after 4 p.m. you don’t need that reservation.

Once inside, you can stay as long as you’d like and you can exit and re-enter on the same day.

“This new system provides reliable access to the park and results in a higher quality visitor experience,” Arches officials said on their website.

Prior to this system there was no guarantee of access to the park during the peak season. With a little advanced planning visitors enjoyed a stress-free visit to one of the most beautiful national parks in the nation.”

When you make your reservation, you’ll be given a one-hour window in which to arrive.

If you are a procrastinator or like to hit the road on the spur of the moment, there are a limited number of tickets you can purchase online a day in advance. 

Officials expect to sell those passes quickly. 

Tribal members don’t require reservations. Neither do bicyclists orthose with special use permits.

And there are multiple online sites where you can make your reservations.
