HEBER CITY, Utah — Utah’s largest LGBTQ+ resource center will open on 81 E. Center Street in Heber City, tallying a total of four Encircle locations across the state.

On Saturday, June 10, a ribbon-cutting ceremony is taking place at the new location to celebrate the grand opening.

A release from Encircle said the facility will provide life-affirming therapy, programming and critical resources to LGBTQ+ youth, students, and families.

The Heber location is dedicated to Collin Russell, who passed away in 2018.

“Collin was a bright light in our lives and to all who knew him,” said Russell’s sister Emma Westwood, in a press release.

“His spirit was infectious and will continue to inspire all who come to Encircle’s Heber location. Encircle and its services are so valuable for LGBTQ+ youth and their families, and this home will be a life-saving resource for the community. We are so proud to have Encircle Heber dedicated in honor of Collin and look forward to seeing all the good it will do.”

The public is invited to the ribbon cutting on June 10 to celebrate the new center.

According to the Encircle webpage, the organization has served LGBTQ+ youth since 2017.
