Input wanted for area plan north of Central Pointe Trax Station

SALT LAKE CITY —  The Wasatch Front Regional Council is taking suggestions on what to do with the land adjacent to 300 West between 1700 South and 2100 South in Salt Lake City.

The regional planning agency said they have two draft development scenarios based on the feedback they have already received. However, residents can still give their feedback ahead of the final decision.

The project, called The 300 West Corridor and Central Pointe Station Area Plan, will connect area neighborhoods with multi-model streetscape to encourage business growth and development on the southwestern edge of the Ballpark neighborhood.  Salt Lake City Planning noted that this project is related to the recently adopted Ballpark Small Area Plan.

According to the Wasatch Front Regional Council, the scenarios so far include land use zoning, mobility and transportation, and character.  Plans include affordable housing, mixed-use development, and improved east-west connectivity, with traffic calming, and improved pedestrian and bicycle facilities.

“The project team is collecting community input which will ultimately influence the final plan,” according to the SLC Planning website.

The project area is from I-15 to West Temple and 1700 South to 2100 South. To submit input please click here.
