Police investigate gunfire near the Delta Center in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City Police Department responded to reports of gunfire outside the Delta Center on Monday evening.

“My first thought was, yeah those were gunshots,” said KSL TV’s Lindsay Aerts as she was leaving the broadcast house,”and they sounded pretty close.”

Police say there were no reported injuries, and no arrests have been made as authorities are still investigating the area.

Drivers should be made aware of potential road closures in the affected area.
