“Bruce Kelly is a great teacher because he makes all students feel welcome in his classroom. He teaches English and Theatre at Kennedy and will help each find their place. My daughter Carly who had Bruce for Theater when she was in 7th grade. Bruce gave her the nickname “Farly Coster” (instead of Carly Foster) the nickname stuck!
When she would occasionally return to visit Bruce, he would say “Farly Coster”! How are you?
In December of 2022 my daughter Carly’s 7th grade English teacher (and former colleague of Bruce’s) who she also had become friends with passed away. While at this teachers funeral we sat next to Bruce Kelly. Carly and Bruce shared some quiet laughs, shed some tears and just sat there knowing that they weren’t the only ones grieving.
Bruce teaches students how to be kind in the classroom and out.
