SALT LAKE CITY — On Thursday, Salt Lake City Police Department’s Bike Squad arrested two men for suspected drug trafficking operation in Library Square.

According to a press release from SLCPD the Bike Squad conducted an enforcement operation in Library Square to identify illegal drug activity.

During the operation officers believed two men showed behavior consistent with the transaction of illegal drugs.

The press release stated that after further investigation Dwight Marsalis, 57, and Dorrine Olson, 53, were taken into custody and booked into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail.

Marsalis appears to have been arrested before for drug distribution, according to the press release. Both are now facing potential felonies.

“We are taking a focused and aggressive approach to hold people accountable and remove illegal drugs from our streets,” said Salt Lake City Police Chief Mike Brown via the press release. “Our officers are working every day to disrupt these networks and protect our community.”
