“Mrs. Knight is incredibly ambitious in helping each student in her class reach their potential. She embodies the best qualities in teachers. She always has a compliment, validates genuinely, and helps make the curriculum fun. She expects her students to step up and improve themselves, and somehow they always deliver because they feel able and confident in her presence. This year, she found out what her students liked and incorporated those things into the classroom. Her 5th graders hatched out chicks and watched the whole process. Lots of them got to do presentations on topics they were passionate about, most of her students seemed to outperform their grade level, she supported a huge number of her students to achieve the Great American award – a huge undertaking! Those are just some of the things that make Mrs Knight incredibly efficient at her job. She is much loved and appreciated by her students, school faculty, and staff, as well as the parents of her class. All the teachers at Thomas Edison Charter School are exceptional, and Mrs. Knight is one of the best of the best! We hope she knows how much her work is appreciated!”
