“I have had the opportunity of having Mrs. Shaffer teach two of my grandchildren. She taught 1st grade and my granddaughter was lucky enough to have her. She is always positive with the kids. My granddaughter needed extra help with reading, and she would keep her in her reading group to give her extra help. She also helped her become more sure of herself. Then this year she switched to 4th grade and my grandson was lucky enough to get her. She gave him a chance to learn different genres and he found a favorite book series. He had struggled with reading all previous grades. The end testing this year he finished above average for his grade, 98% Accuracy and 60 words retell. Mrs. Shaffer makes every subject fun. Every child knows she loves them best!”
