SALT LAKE CITY — A rollover crash affected commuters near downtown Salt Lake on Monday morning after a trailer rolled and hit the back of a semitruck, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
Just before 9 a.m., the collision occurred in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 at 600 North, according to Lt. Cam Roden with UHP.
Luckily, Roden said, nobody was injured. Although, the trailer may have caught fire for a moment.
After the trailer rolled and impacted the semitruck, the trailer landed in the middle of the roadway, blocking several lanes. The semitruck left the roadway to the right and came to a stop.
All but the HOV lane were closed for a short time after the crash.
This is a developing story. It may be updated.
