Man’s body recovered from Huntington State park after reported drowning

HUNTINGTON, Emery County — A body was recovered Sunday night in Huntington State Park after the person apparently drowned, according to the Emery County Sheriff’s Office.

The Emery County Sheriff’s Office said it received a call at 4 p.m. about a man who had drowned at the state park.

Sheriff Tyson Huntington said emergency personnel from several agencies were in the area to locate the victim, and initially asked the public to avoid the area during the search.
