Utah man dies after crash on IR15 in Nevada

SALT LAKE CITY — A Utah man is dead after crashing into a construction vehicle in Clark County, Nevada.
On July 31 at approximately 6:45 a.m., the Nevada Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Interstate 15 at mile marker 106, approximately 11 miles south of Mesquite, Nevada.
According to a press release from the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the crash involved two vehicles: a 2022 Kia Forte sedan and a 2024 Isuzu NPR-HD cone truck.
The Isuzu was parked in a construction zone on IR15 between the left shoulder and the leftmost lane, with its direction board and warning lights activated. The driver was out of the vehicle, putting up construction signs.
The Kia was traveling southbound on IR15 in the leftmost lane when it hit the Isuzu.
“The driver of the Kia failed to obey the ‘move over‘ law when approaching a highway maintenance vehicle, and the left front of the Kia struck the right rear of the Isuzu,” according to the press release.
The driver of the Kia, 22-year-old William Rance Bill from St. George, UT, sustained injuries from the crash and was pronounced deceased on scene.
A passenger of the Kia was transported to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
