“Kim Reeder is the behavior teacher at our school, working with the students with the most extreme behaviors. She always strives to help her students to maintain their dignity while teaching them the appropriate social skills for situations as they encounter them throughout their school day. When they need time to process their intense emotions she provides a safe and calm space until they are ready to be reintegrated into the school community. She treats every student with respect and sees the best in each child helping them to maintain dignity even when they are overstimulated and struggling. She strives every day to help her students learn how to self regulate and see the best in themselves. Even in high stress situations she always has a kind word to say and makes sure every student knows that they can always turn a hard day around and make it better.”
