SALT LAKE CITY — Christmas and holiday cheer became more and more apparent as December wrapped Utah in it’s icy grip during the 2025 holidays.
Those who are looking to spruce up their decorations, find Christmas presents or otherwise enjoy the holiday season may turn to This Is The Place Heritage Park this next week for the 14th annual Christkindlmarkt.
German for Christmas Market, Christkindlmarkt is set to bring a taste of Germany’s world-famous Christmas markets to the Wasatch Front, for the 14th year in a row.
The market is scheduled to run Dec. 3 until Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.
This year, organizers streamlined the entrance route, allowing visitors a single point of entry to the market to prevent confusion.
Multiple new parking locations are available for interested persons, with shuttles traveling from the farthest off-site parking lots to bring visitors to the market. On-site parking will also be available.
Guests are requested to avoid parking in neighborhoods, side streets or other undesignated parking areas to avoid interfering with local residents.
Christkindlmarkt SLC focuses on giving to others in the spirit the story of St. Martin, a soldier who gave the coat off of his back to save a freezing man.

This year, Christkindlmarkt will benefit The Other Side Village, collecting donated towels and wash cloths to build “Welcome Home Kits” for residents. Attendees are also invited to donate money if they are unable to bring the requested items.
