“On her way home from work Mrs Johnson noticed one of her students walking home acting strange. She noticed a car was following her student and the student was trying to hide. Mrs Johnson hurry and pulled up to the student to make sure she was okay. The student said that her dad was the one following her but that her dad didn’t have custody of her. And she was told by her mom to not go with him. The man then pulled up in his car and began to yell for the student to go with him and try to explain that he was her father and that she should let the student get in his car. Mrs Johnson refused, upsetting the man and instead had the student get in her car where she took her back to the school where she could work with the school administration to contact the girls mom and figure out what was going on.
This is one of many great examples where Mrs Johnson goes above and beyond for her students and our community overall. This situation could have easily been more confrontational but without hesitation Mrs Johnson put her own safety at risk to make sure her student was safe.”
