Man arrested on suspicion of DUI after crashing car into Salt Lake City O’Reilly’s Auto Parts

SALT LAKE CITY — One man is in police custody after crashing his car into an O’Reilly’s Auto Parts in Salt Lake City while allegedly driving under the influence.
Lt. Lougy with the Salt Lake City Police Department said the man’s Ford Explorer went “all the way into” an O’Reilly’s Auto Parts near 1300 South State Street at 6:37 p.m.
One person in the store and one person in the parking lot were injured during the incident. They both went to the hospital without the assistance of an ambulance.
The driver of the Ford also received minor injuries. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
At this time, authorities are still working to remove the car from the store.
