Mrs. Van Slooten goes above and beyond every single day for her students. She creates an inviting, creative, and welcoming environment where students feel safe to express themselves and excel in the visual arts. Her classroom is more than just an art room — it is a space where imagination, confidence, and individuality are encouraged and celebrated.
The impact she has on her students is obvious. They genuinely love being in her class. In fact, even when there is no scheduled class time or during lunch, her room is often filled with students who simply want to be there. That speaks volumes about the atmosphere she has created and the relationships she builds.
